Thank you for visiting my web site. I am Arne Simonsen, Republican candidate for the 11th State Assembly District.

I am running for this seat because Contra Costa County deserves strong leadership in Sacramento and in the 11^th Assembly District. As a State Assembly Member I will: Fight to stem the flow of illegal immigration. Fight tax increases and protect Proposition 13. Control state spending and work to balance the budget. Stop the senseless use of eminent domain and work cooperatively to find regional solutions to protect our environment. Work to find solutions to real issues affecting people’s everyday lives such as traffic gridlock, improving education, protecting our children and fighting crime.
I have a career of public and private service spanning 42 years, and will bring a business and practical approach to solving our state’s problems. I will be an energetic champion for your community and the 11th State Assembly District. With my long list of endorsements, there can be no doubt that I will have the support of national, state, county and local elected officials to get results in and for our District and State.
I have been a resident of Contra Costa County for over 49 years, and currently serving my second term as a member of the Antioch City Council. I have been married to my wife, Sylvia, for over 38 years, and we have two sons and a daughter.
